The California JPIA’s 2011/12 Annual Contribution amounts have been calculated and were reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee at their meeting on January 26, 2011. The formulas used for the 2011/12 coverage period have experienced minor changes which are addressed in this Executive Committee agenda item. Links to the Annual Contribution workbooks can be found below. Annual Contribution invoices will be sent to all members in May and will be due July 1, 2011.
The annual retrospective computations for the Liability and Workers' Compensation programs were reviewed and adopted by the Executive Committee at their meeting on December 15, 2010. These annual calculations are used to determine the net retrospective refund or additional payment due for all prior years. The result of this year’s retrospective computation in each program is then added to all remaining balances due from prior retrospective computations. This is called the aggregate retrospective balance. Aggregate retrospective balances as of October 31, 2010 can also be found in the aforementioned workbooks.
Deficit aggregate retrospective balances have been deferred from payment until July 1, 2013, however, your agency may wish to take advantage of our early repayment incentive program. Details of this program can be seen here: Retrospective Deposit Payments web page. Members with credit aggregate retrospective balances will automatically receive 25% of the balance as a credit against other charges on the annual invoice due July 1, 2011.
