In early 2004, the Authority began a strategic planning process that was intended to create a strategic vision for the organization. Although there is no single way for an organization to undertake a successful strategic planning effort, the Authority adopted certain terms and concepts that had shared meaning for the manner in which the Authority would carry out this process, thereby building organizational accountability and ownership.
As such, every staff member of the Authority participated in developing and articulating core values, and developing statements of vision and mission. In addition, the entire team played a fundamental role in identifying key initiatives that provide direction to our goals and objectives for the future.
In total, the work performed in completing this plan, known as Seeing20/2010, reflects a long-term commitment to the future, where new strategies will be periodically developed in order to position the Authority for long-term success.
