2007 Risk Management Awards
In each program, members were divided into groups for which awards were presented at the Board of Directors meeting on July 18, 2007. The groups were determined using a combination of payroll and population as a measure of size. Keeping with past years, there were three member groups for the Worker’s Compensation Program. Due to growth in the number of Non-Municipal members, the General Liability Program has been split into four member groups – three for Cities and Towns, based on size, and one for non-municipal members.
Lowest Average Cost of Claims
Listed claims costs are per $100 of payroll, averaged over the past five years.

Best Overall Performance
Since 2005, the Authority has recognized those members that demonstrate the Best Overall Performance for both the General Liability and Workers’ Compensation programs. Authority staff evaluated both quantitative and qualitative factors that are reflective of a member’s risk management efforts. Factors included an agency’s five-year average cost of claims per $100 of payroll, rolling retrospective refund per $100 of payroll, assistance and staff commitment to the Authority’s Risk Management Evaluation process, utilization of the Authority’s Risk Management Consultation services, and, finally, use of the Authority’s video library and training opportunities.
