  Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response- Operations Level / Refresher     Length: 4 Hours  
  The initial responders at the HAZWOPER - operational level are trained to respond in a defensive manner, and are trained not to approach hazardous releases to stop the release. Their function is to contain the release from a safe distance and to prevent exposures. Participants will be trained in the incident command system, basic HAZMAT response organization, site control, and the selection and use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE). The Department of Transportation Emergency Response Guidebook is also explained. This workshop meets the requirements of Cal-OSHA General Industry Safety Orders §5192(q)(6).
