This workshop provides a review of organization's hearing conservation plan to include: sources of noise in the specific work environment, causes of hearing loss, physical dynamics of sound energy, posting requirements, audiometric testing, use and care of provided PPE, and engineering/administrative controls. It also provides a review of the types/hazards of heat stress, signs and symptoms of over exposure, first aid, control methods, and prevention of heat stress injuries. This workshop is scheduled with the Bloodborne Pathogens/Fire Extinguisher Operation workshop.
