Respirator Certification

CLASSROOM TRAINING
This is a comprehensive training that covers respiratory hazards, types of respirators and their limitations, care and maintenance procedures, and implementation of a respiratory protection program. The agency shall have on file a current medical evaluation for each potential user to determine the individual's ability to use a respirator before the individual is fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace. A qualitative fit test (QLFT) will be conducted on each potential user to assess the adequacy of respirator fit. Please note: Each attendee must supply their workplace respirator for the fit test. Regulation: General Industry Safety Order 5144.
