Risk Managers Roundtable: Understanding and Preserving Governmental Immunity Defenses

CLASSROOM TRAINING
In certain types of litigation, government agencies may invoke immunity defenses that prevail with near absolute certainty. Knowledge of these governmental immunities is a key component of public agency liability defense, but knowing them is just the start. Your agency is best served by establishing certain policies and practices in order to ward off potential liability in the future. Join us to learn and discuss how changes in policies and practices can limit exposure in future claims and litigation by preserving governmental immunity defenses. Please be prepared for discussion during this highly interactive lunch event, and send your questions or scenarios in advance to Ryan Thomas, Training and Loss Control Specialist, at rthomas@cjpia.org. Questions and scenarios received in advance will be covered during the Roundtable. A lunch will be served at noon.
